Matthew 5:13 – 16 Light Into Darkness A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness. (Job 10:22 KJV) You will always have moments in life where your happiness will turn into sadness and love even to hate. It's important to be able to turn it back around and not fall into the devils trap of despair. When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness; (Job 29:3 KJV) You have to be prepared and keep Gods word close to your heart always, because when things are going well in your life, evil will always be near trying to mess it up. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. (Proverbs 4:19 KJV) You may stumble, you may fall but The Lord will never leave you alone. He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. (Psalms 18:9 KJV)

Priority Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (Matthew 22:37 KJV) You should make it a priority to have the Lord on your mind throughout your days. It should automatically happen, He should be on your mind when you wake up, when good things happen even to the bad. Once you forget to make Him a priority, you see a difference in how you feel and act. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (Colossians 3:2 KJV) Money doesn’t save us. Jesus does. Jesus, when You saved me, You brought me from death to life. I am a walking miracle! Increase my faith as I learn to trust You with every area of my life, not just my salvation. "Mark 12 tells the story of a broke widow who went to the temple to worship. Wealthy people walked by the treasury, dropping in huge sums of money. But when the poor widow put in her gift, all she had to give were two copper coins. The value was barely half a cent. When Jesus saw the widow’s offering, He told His disciples that she gave more than all the others. The rich gave out of their abundance, but she put in everything she had. She gave it all, trusting God to meet her needs." Mark 12:41-44 This is a tough one, because you get wrapped up in trying to pay bills, then you see so many things you want, and let's not forget the things you need. You have to make it a priority to give what you can; not what you want to give, but what is in your heart to give. We as people have to get our priorities figured out. Jesus, thank You for being more concerned with the state of my heart than the size of my gift. Help me to grow more generous like You. The Past is The Past This I must admit I have had a very tough time letting go and moving on. Things keep happening and most of the time it's the same as the past. So if it happens today and it's the same as what happened in the past, then it takes me all the way back. I am working on being in my peace and keeping my peace. Not letting anyone steal my joy, I am staying in Gods word more and more everyday now, and days are becoming easier. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14 KJV) Always feeling like my past is in my present time, it's difficult not to give up, still it's something in me that won't allow me to stop. I would like to believe that's Christ Jesus in me. There are days I have felt I would be able to go on, but after sleep, some prayer, and it's always extra special when someone comes around right at the moment you need a ear to listen, or a good laugh. The hardest part is allowing yourself I be happy, it's so much easier to laugh than cry and be angry, also it feels a whole lot better. I'm learning to live for the day, not over-thinking and leaving the past in the past. Use Your God Given Talents
Read: Matthew 25:14-30 Life is about finding your place where you are meant to be. Everyone has given talents and gifts from God. For some it's easier to figure out, they grow into their talent, and others it may take time to figure out what your gift is. For others it may be even more difficult because God has given you more than one, even three or five talents and you're not sure which one is the right one. But all of them are right, if you're good at something why not try it out until you find where your heart lives and you have a passion for. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. (Matthew 25:15 KJV) "When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps." |
